英國攝影師羅伯特‧布魯克斯在尚比亞盧安瓜國家公園旅行時拍攝到一組照片，抓拍到一頭水牛向交配中的雄獅發起進攻，並將其拋入半空中的畫面。

環球網據英國《每日郵報》報導，64歲的羅伯特‧布魯克斯是一名業餘攝影師，他和妻子蘇珊在尚比亞盧安瓜國家公園南部探險旅遊時拍攝了這組令人難以置信的照片。照片中一頭水牛從後方向交配中的雄獅發起進攻，並將其拋至半空中。

布魯克斯表示，起初獅子和水牛雙方並沒有過激行為，但水牛突然從後方向獅子發起進攻，此舉激怒了交配中的雄獅。獅子夫婦本計劃撤退到高地繼續交配，但由於水牛的距離過近，雄獅決定先趕走水牛，而雄獅的這種反擊似乎出於保護母獅。布魯克斯還表示，在激烈的爭鬥後，雄獅和水牛的身上並無明顯受傷的痕跡。
