萬株紫牡丹盛開 梅嶺新嬌點

〔自由時報記者吳俊鋒／楠西報導〕跨年前的幾波冷鋒，讓梅嶺的梅花盛開，現在上山不只能賞梅，逾萬株紫牡丹也盛開，沿途豔麗綻放，引人矚目，成為觀光「嬌點」之一。

紫牡丹分佈集中於梅峰古道內，從二層坪往上經大眾餐廳至伍龍殿之間，西拉雅風景區管理處近兩年也在沿途廣為栽種，串連美景，元旦前已陸續綻放，預估開花期可持續到農曆年後。

西拉雅風管處工務課表示，梅嶺的紫牡丹十三年前由當地農民先試種，希望讓梅峰古道增添另一種色彩，從最初的五十株開始，陸續增植到千餘株，除了環境美化之外，視覺效果更是顯著，決定協助推廣，希望為觀光行銷加分。

工務課指出，之前梅峰古道的紫牡丹屢傳竊案，不肖人士趁夜偷挖，因此再加碼栽種，累計已逾萬株，每年主要的花季有四次，元旦這一期開得最美，值得上山遊賞。

除了梅花之外，當地農民在景觀營造上也很努力，陸續栽種杜鵑、野百合、馬纓丹，以及桂花、山櫻花等，希望一年四季都有不同的自然美景可遊賞。
