歐巴馬提名卡洛琳甘迺迪任駐日大使

美國總統歐巴馬24日提名前總統甘迺迪(John F. Kennedy)唯一仍在世的子女--卡洛琳．甘迺迪(Caroline Kennedy)擔任美國駐日本大使。

在提名儀式中，歐巴馬稱卡洛琳、以及其他職位的數位被提名人，都是很好的公僕，表示這些人將為美國帶來很好的服務，他期待和他們共事。

55歲的卡洛琳還需要獲得參議院的通過，她不曾遭受過公開的批評，而且參議院是由尊崇她父親的民主黨所主導。一旦國會通過這項人事案，首位美國女性駐日大使，最快將在9月中旬就任。

卡洛琳是甘迺迪總統和第一夫人賈桂琳(Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis)的女兒，2次總統大選都力挺歐巴馬。

甘迺迪遇刺身亡後，卡洛琳與母親住在紐約，畢業於哈佛大學及哥倫比亞大學法律研究所。她長期投身公益活動，優雅的風度氣質和頂著甘迺迪家族光環，一直是媒體焦點。
