《玩命關頭7》因為男主角保羅沃克Paul Walker車禍驟逝而停拍，現在傳出環球電影公司想找保羅沃克的親弟弟寇迪沃克Cody Walker，代打演出片中臥底警察「布萊恩Brian O’Connor」替身，完成尚未拍完的戲分。由於寇迪沃克本身就是電影的特技演員，演出《玩命關頭7》絕非難事，加上兄弟兩人外型神似，據說電影拍攝上會多使用遠鏡頭以及背影處理，而臉部表情特寫則使用CGI動畫特效解決。

考量到《玩命關頭7》目前已花費約445億台幣，且大部分劇情都已完成拍攝，電影表示不會重新拍攝，而編劇克里斯摩根Chris Morgan正改寫劇本，希望讓布萊恩的角色可以順利退場，由寇迪沃克Cody Walker接演或許是對保羅沃克Paul Walker是最好的安排，也可以將保羅沃克的形象永遠留在影迷心中。
