中國大陸國務院總理李克強近日正在印度進行訪問，20日與印度總理辛格（Manmohan Singh）達成邊境和平寧靜協議，緩和兩國邊境的緊張情勢。中、印局勢看似趨緩，不過澳洲智庫一份報告顯示，80%的印度人對中國大陸不信任，視中國大陸為威脅。

根據美國《華爾街日報》(The Wall Street Journal)報導，澳大利亞智庫洛伊國際政策研究所(Lowy Institute of International Policy)於20日發布報告，顯示了印度人對中國大陸感到不安的程度。報告稱，80%以上的受訪者表示，「中國是一個安全威脅。」

調查發現，印度民眾不信任中國大陸的原因相當多，包括中國大陸擁有核武器、中印在第三國爭奪資源、中國大陸在印度洋地區努力加強與別國關系，以及中印邊境爭端等。

調查也指出，只有31%的印度人認為中國崛起對印度有好處；60%的受訪者認為，印度應該與其他國家結盟，一同對抗中國崛起。
