王建民在放棄使用第2個逃脫日後，今日繼續代表所屬的史克蘭頓/維克斯巴鐵道騎士（Scranton／Wilkes-Barre RailRiders）先發，出戰光芒3A德倫公牛隊（Durham Bulls），王建民本季在洋基3A已出賽8場，戰績為3勝4敗，防禦率2.65。

第一局，隊友就先敲出2支安打攻下1分。下半場建仔上場，僅使用12球，就讓德倫公牛隊3上3下。鐵道騎士隊1：0領先德倫公牛隊。

第二局，王建民在1出局後，遭Anderson擊出安打上壘，之後再盜上二壘，Guyer接連再敲安，一、二壘有人，幸而順利解決後續兩打者，未丟分。鐵道騎士隊1：0領先德倫公牛隊。

第三局，上半局鐵道騎士隊Thomas擊出安打，又靠著對方投手失誤，上到二壘，Mesa接著揮出全壘打，為球隊進帳2分。下半局，王建民四壞保送Albernaz，又被Thompson擊出滾地安打，一、二壘有人，Bourgeois中外野飛球出局，Belnome擊出雙殺打，建仔使用12球結束本局。鐵道騎士隊3：0領先德倫公牛隊。
